Creating inspirational impact for youth females utilizing the iconic spaces of America’s Stadium to inspire females to do better and dream higher.
The Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation will be hosting the inaugural Women's Empowerment Symposium at the Rose Bowl Stadium - Tuesday, July 9th, 2019
Housed in the National Historic Landmark that has authored almost 100 years of admiration and inspiration-filled moments, the one-day inaugural Women’s Empowerment Symposium will help develop female strong leaders within Los Angeles, California regional high school senior and college population. Within the region, an opportunity exists to build college and career focused female leaders by targeted education enrichment and engagement with the area’s female business and athletics industry experts within the inspirational setting of the Rose Bowl Stadium as a National Historic Landmark. Topical panels and networking opportunities will focus on showcasing female leadership, confidence, character and more towards these young future female leaders.
The Symposium will be held on July 9, the day before the dedication of the 1999 Team USA Women’s World Cup Champions statue at the Rose Bowl, commemorating the 20th anniversary of this watershed moment for women’s athletics in America. Ann Meyers-Drysdale will host the Women’s Empowerment Symposium and the dedication of the 1999 Team USA Statue.
* Students will be accepted on a first come first serve basis as space is limited and no registration fee is required. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, have the ability to get to and from the stadium for the symposium and have college ambitions as a high school senior.
Be a Female Student currently enrolled as a high school senior or college student.
Possess at least a 3.0 grade point average in both the current and previous school year’s course work and be able to provide official verification in an official school document.
